Hyundai's Sonata named US car of the month

Hyundai Motor Co.'s mid-sized sedan Sonata was named Car of the Month by the US-based website NADAguides.com that provides information on selling and purchasing automobiles.

According to reports, the website praised the new Sonata's interior and exterior designs, and emphasised that the car was designed and is being produced in the United States.

The current Sonata, the sixth generation of vehicles bearing the name, is produced at Hyundai's plant in Alabama for North American markets.
