Nepali police detains 7 lawmakers, including former ministers

Nepali police today detained seven lawmakers including former State Minister for Home Affairs Rijwan Ansari and former State Minister Hakimullah Khan for picketing District Administration Office in Kathmandu, the capital.
The detainees are the members of the National Muslim Struggle Committee.
The Muslim Committee has been demanding identification of its community in the new constitution, formation of constitutional commission, Muslim identity-based federalism, among others.
