Singapore exports fall 3.3% in July

Publication Date : 18-08-2014

Exports from Singapore continued their slide in July for the third straight month, trade agency IE Singapore said on Monday.

Non-oil domestic exports slid 3.3 per cent over the previous year, after falling 4.6 per cent in June and 6.6 per cent in May.

Both electronic and non-electronic shipments decreased, IE Singapore said.

It added that falling exports of integrated circuits, parts of personal computers and disk media products were the biggest drags on electronic products.

For non-electronic products, the decline was led by lower exports of structures of ships and boats, aircraft parts and civil engineering equipment parts.
