Publication Date : 03-03-2013
Sabah is still safe for tourism despite the Lahad Datu incident.
Malaysian tourism minister Ng Yen Yen said the ministry is closely monitoring the situation.
"We have not receive any queries from our overseas office on the matter.
"The Sabah Tourism Board had also issued a statement on Saturday to all industry players that the state is safe and business is as usual," she told reporters after launching the promotion campaign carnival for Visit Malaysia 2014 at the Queensbay Mall carpark here on Sunday.
She also said the Ministry believed that tourists understand the country's stability.
