Mazda to recall 74 vehicles in Brunei
Publication Date : 26-06-2014
Grand Motors, the official distributor of Mazda cars in Brunei, is recalling 74 units of first generation Mazda 6 vehicles produced in 2002-2003 for replacement of potentially defective parts.
In a statement provided to The Brunei Times, Grand Motors confirmed that some of the Mazda cars sold in Brunei are included in the global recall campaign of Mazda Motors Corp for defective Takata air bags.
“We will be getting in touch with these customers to provide necessary action,” said Precious Carmela Casao, marketing manager of Grand Motors.
“Moving forward, although there have been no reports of the defect at Mazda, the supplier of the airbag notified us that other makers that used the same parts have experienced defects,” she said.
