MH17 CRASH: Malaysian transport chief heading to Kiev to ensure team has access to crash site

Malaysian Transport Minister Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai will be heading to Kiev, Ukraine tonight to ensure the Malaysian team have access to the MH17 crash site.
He said the Malaysian team had already arrived in Kiev Saturday and the ministry wanted to ensure the team's safe corridor to the site.
"I will be leaving for Kiev tonight to ensure we have access to the site," he told reporters at the Sama-Sama Hotel Ops Centre on Saturday.
Asked on who has the aircraft's black box, Liow said the ministry would have to double check whatever news being spread.
"It is still unconfirmed news...we have to verify first.
"We have to double check whatever news being spread," he said.
Meanwhile, Defence Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein said the maim priority was to get to the site.
"We must ensure that any investigation team gets proper security.
"Any debris must be not tampered with," he said adding that, it was important to have a thorough and transparent investigation.
He added that the ministry have no position to declare until all the facts have been verified.
"It must be verified whether the plane was really brought down or how it was brought down, who brought it down," he said.
Both Liow and Hishammuddin are currently in urgent discussion on the tragedy.
