Publication Date : 10-01-2013
The National Police’s counterterrorism squad Densus 88 discovered home-made bombs allegedly hoarded by a terror group in Enrekang, South Sulawesi yesterday.
National Police spokesman Brig. Gen. Boy Rafli Amar said that Densus 88 uncovered the materials thanks to testimonies from two terror suspects, Syarifudin and Fadli, who were arrested last Friday in Makassar, South Sulawesi.
The police allege that the two participated in terrorist training in conflict-prone Poso, Central Sulawesi, and had been planning a number of attacks in South Sulawesi.
The Densus 88 squad found the bombs in five separate sites; Fadli and Syarifudin’s houses, two plantations and a coffee mill in Alla subdistrict, Enkerang.
