Fugitive comes out of hiding for Jay Chou concert

Publication Date : 22-05-2014

PETALING JAYA: A fugitive who has been on the run for the past six months risked freedom to catch his idol Jay Chou in concert in China’s Anhui province, reported Malaysia Chinese daily China Press. The man, known only as Hong, 23, was recaptured at the Hefei railway station on Sunday. He said he had no regrets. “It’s alright. I do not want to hide anymore. I am satisfied after listening to him sing,” he was quoted as saying by the daily. Hong, a die-hard fan of the Taiwanese singer, even went to a beauty salon to remove his mole and apply some make-up shortly before going to the concert. He is wanted by the police in connection with an assault case in December last year. He had apparently beat up a neighbour during an argument over a stove.
