Computex Taipei preparations underway

Publication Date : 07-03-2013

Billed as Asia's largest computer exhibition, Computex Taipei is set to launch June 4 in the city and will run for four days until June 8.

The exhibition, the world's second largest, will showcase the latest technology and computer gadgets. To build anticipation, the event's main organiser, Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), will launch a series of related events in the run up to the excitement in early June, with the COMPUTEX D&I awards kicking off first.

TAITRA said yesterday that the registration period for the COMPUTEX TAIPEI D&I awards have started and it will end on March 25. Now in its sixth year and organised by Germany's International Forum Design Hannover (iF), last year's COMPUTEX TAIPEI D&I awards attracted a record-high of 200 creations from seven countries, a 14-per cent growth compared on 2011.

According to TAITRA, the award winning projects will enjoy iF endorsement and promotion from every possible channel, such as through the COMPUTEX website and specialised booths at the exhibition.
