Publication Date : 29-12-2013

AirAsia Indonesia has opened its new headquarters, bringing together over 2,000 employees previously scattered in different offices throughout Jakarta.

The new building near the Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Tangerang features a modern design by prominent Indonesian architect Dedat.

It is expected to be in operation by February next year.

AirAsia group chief executive officer Tony Fernandes said its opening was a historic moment for AirAsia Indonesia, which now operates 30 new Airbus A320 compared to its beginnings with just two old Boeing 737-300s.

“I have no doubt that our unconventional office and fun work space will stimulate minds as well as inspire creative ideas,” he said in a statement.

The six-floor office building is also home to AirAsia Asean, which was previously located at Equity Building, SCBD, south Jakarta.

AirAsia Indonesia chief executive officer Dharmadi said the new office reflects a fun personality and demonstrates the airline’s commitment to provide the best for its employees.
