Iskandar Malaysia will have 1,467 CCTVs installed in and around the region to boost safety and security in the economic growth corridor.
Phase one, involving 250 CCTVs, had started in May 2012 and installation of the equipment in North Johor Baru and Nusajaya districts will be completed next month.

The installation of CTTVs is one of the earmarked project under Irda Safety and Security Blueprint which forms part of the overall strategy in effective use of technology to ensure a safe and secure environment in Iskandar.
"Iskandar has become increasingly safe and secure with falling crime rates as seen in the past few years," said Johor deputy police chief Ismail Yatim.
He said this to reporters during the working visit by Johor state chief Mohamed Khaled Nordin to the Nusajaya district police headquarters here on Monday.
